「ふむ、そろそろ食べごろじゃの」

フンボルトさんは、毎年タケノコ料理を楽しみにしています。

Some bamboo shoots shoot up one after another in Humboldt’s backyard.

“Hm, they are ready to eat now.”

Mr. Humboldt looks forward to eating them every year.
