Amigurumi Strawberry Daifuku Mochi いちご大福のあみぐるみ
ヨイとシャーロットの絵が届きました。
最後の１個のいちご大福をかけて戦う２匹。
そこに描かれていたいちご大福が見たことない形で
とても可愛かったので、あみぐるみで作ってみました。
I received a cute drawing of Yoi and Charlotte who are
battling over the last piece of strawberry daifuku mochi (rice cake).
That strawberry daifuku mochi is rare shaped which I have never
seen before but looked so cute so I made it
with yarns.
じゃーん。
Ta-da.
抹茶餡もあるよー。
いつもの毛糸で編むと大きかったので
ワンサイズ細いサイズで編み直し。
ちょうど良いサイズになりました。
Yes, we have one with matcha green tea sweet bean paste.
It came out bigger than I expected with the yarn I usually use so I made it
with thinner yarns and it turned out great, perfect size.

Amigurumi Japanese Strawberry Shortcake いちごのショートケーキのあみぐるみ
いつか作ってみたいと思っていた
あみぐるみのいちごのショートケーキ。
リクエストが来たので作ってみました。
I’ve been wanted to try amigurumi
Japanese strawberry shortcake for long time.
I finally made it upon request.
…これではまるでブリーチーズ。
厚みが足りない？
Looks exactly like a brie…
Maybe I need more thickness?
クリームは１層。
断面が見えるとケーキだってわかるけど
見えないとどこからどう見てもブリーチーズ。
Only one cream layer.
If you see cross section of cake, you will be able to know it’s a cake
but if you don’t then you won’t and it’s definitely a brie.
ということで、層を増やしてみました。
ケーキっぽくなってきた！
ついでに周囲にぐるっとクリームを飾ってみました。
So, I added more layers.
It now looks more like a cake!
I also added whipped cream decoration around the top edge.
いちごと生クリーム追加で完成。
色彩効果のため、いちごのヘタもつけたままです。
Finish with strawberries and extra whipped cream.
I left strawberry stems as they are for color effect.
均等に飾るって難しい。
Difficult to decorate evenly.
今回はホールケーキをカットした形というリクエストだったので
角や断面を綺麗に出す方法で作りました。
普通に編んで綿を入れたらどうしても膨らんで
断面や角がきっちりしないのです。
The request I got this time was “a whole cake and cut some pieces from it”
so I chose this method so that it can maintain its sharp edges and cross section.
If I just crocheted normally and stuffed it with fiber fillings
then it would have become too round and could not have kept
its clean edge and cross section.
