男の子の装飾をやる前に女の子の方の衣装の製作に着手しました。
下着の上に着るボディス（コルセット・ベスト）とペチコートを作ります。
貴族の女の子は赤いペチコートを持つのがステータスだったそうですので
赤い布でセットを作りました。
ボディスの周囲を共布でパイピングしたのですが
幅が狭すぎて布端が少し出てしまいましたので
もう少し幅に余裕を持たせてやり直ししました。
本来なら中にクジラのひげなどを入れて強度と張りを出しますが
裏に当てたキャンバス生地のおかげでそれらが必要なく済みました。
Before adding some decorations to boy’s doublet
I started making girl’s clothings.
I’m going to make her bodice and petticoat.
In the book I bought, which was mentioned at earlier post
it says “having a red petticoat was elite girl’s status”
so I chose red fabrics for both bodice and petticoat.
When I sewed bias binding all around the bodice,
the bias strip was so narrow that its raw edges came outside
so I had to do it again with wider strip.
It was supposed to be baleen boned to support the shape of the bodice
but since it’s not so big, the sturdy canvas on the back worked just fine.
